In 2018, Grand Slam Social catapulted the Breeders’ Cup (#BC18) social media experience to the next level with a cross-platform strategy that brought fans behind-the-scenes of the richest two days in sports. The content was strategically placed on Facebook, Facebook LIVE, Twitter, Periscope, Instagram, Instagram Stories, and YouTube to drive impressions, engagements and video views.
At BC18, GSS was at the forefront of new tech, working closely with teams to feature Virtual Reality experiences and a unique Jockey Cam feature that took fans aboard the best racehorses in the world. Online streaming covered the race Draw, Morning Works, Virtual Reality, Jockey Came and Live Racing all developed to supplement television coverage with a second screen experience.
